The Candia Maris Resort & Spa Crete is located directly on Ammoudara Beach with its vast expanses of fine sand on Crete's northern coastline, just 6 km to the west of Heraklion and 12 km from the International Airport. Its location makes it very convenient to explore the island to the West and East.
There is a Thalasso centre of 4,500 sq m seawater spa facility which features a wide range of traditional thalassotherapy, wellness and beauty treatments.

The hotel has a total of 285 rooms and suites, of which the majority are located in the main building with views over the Aegean Sea, 6 separate Bungalow buildings, holding 59 rooms and suite units are spread around the gardens to the West, close to the beach and with a separate pool reserved for bungalow guests only. Three Bungalow Suites and 4 Bungalow rooms feature their own private pool and terrace.
All rooms and suites have recently been fully renovated, are tastefully appointed and feature modern furnishings. Rooms of variable sizes are available as well as non-smoking and connecting rooms. All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, internet connections, a minibar, safes and hairdryers.
Three outstanding restaurants and bars await to tempt guests with International culinary delights. Sumptuous buffets are available in the "Estia" Restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The Taverna near the beach offers local cuisine for lunch and dinner and the "Peitho" Restaurant promises fine dining with chefs creating demanding gourmet dishes in the front kitchen.
